SBA 504 loans are
available for up to $5 million. You can use loan proceeds for existing
buildings or land, new facilities, long-term machinery and equipment, as well
as the improvement or modernization of land, streets, utilities, parking lots,
landscaping, and existing facilities. Note that you can’t use these proceeds
for working capital or inventory, debt consolidation, repayment, or refinancing,
or for rental real estate speculation or investment.

- Loan amount: Up to $5 million
- Interest rates: Pegged to the 5- or 10-year U.S. Treasury plus approximately 3%
- Repayment terms: 10, 20, or 25 years
- Down payment: Usually 10% to 30%; varies upon age of business and use of
funds

Requirements
To be eligible, your business must:
- Operate as a for-profit company in the U.S.
- Have a tangible net worth of less than $15 million.
- Have an average net income of less than $5 million,
after federal income taxes, for the two years preceding your application.
